Magna Carta is perhaps the most legendary, if not the most important, document in the history of Western political and legal thought. This book covers the history from before to modern day, the influences, as well as multiple translations. A good and interesting read.
It's a reasonably written summing up of various parts of the MC but not as much of the actual text as I thought. The editing left a little to be desired too but I found it a fine introduction with fairly interesting history treats throughout.

Important historical document worth reading. The included history of the Magna Carta is informative and a good complement to the main document.
Very good English translation of the 1215 text and well researched biographies of the principle players..
