Review

Tom DeWeese writes with a flair and the purpose of 'Common Sense' in a time when we dearly need some. - C.J. Hadley, publisher, RANGE magazine One of America's best informed and most respected champions of free enterprise and principled government is Tom DeWeese. - Ron Arnold, author and executive vice president, Center for the Defense of Free Enterprise Tom DeWeese is a vital force in the battle for American liberty because he tells it like it is, holding back nothing as he cuts through the politically-correct smokescreen to get out the truth. - Jerome Corsi, Author From afar, I have long admired your courage and your immense talent for writing. You personally represent that which I admire above all else: the brave American patriot upon whom free people everywhere depend to save America from the Socialism that now threatens it and thereby the Free World. - Judi McLeod, Editor, CanadaFreePress.com Our country should always feel a great debt to people like Tom DeWeese and others, who literally make it their business to monitor what Washington is doing, where big government is taking us, and alerting us that "we the people" can still be in charge, if we're informed and active. Keep it up, Tom! - Pat Boone

DeWeese has outdone himself this time, an out-of-the-park home run. This is an easy read despite being an important book, well organized, well written, & well edited.. Sustainable recounts the recent historical movement of powerful utopians who sadly also have a Chicken-Little complex, as well as telling what is on their frightening drawing board. Should be required reading in every civics or government class but it won't be. Read it! Give it to your children, your grandchildren, your neighbors so that it may be stopped – or, if not, so that they will at least know what really happened. Henry Lamb & Dr. Coffman would be proud of Tom DeWeese's book. Sadly this modern globalist story has its roots in the old feudal class system, and it is still about a cabal of elitists bent on power only this one now is led by intellectuals & academics, administrators of trusts & charities, bureaucrats, & so-called diplomats, pooh-bahs whose published goals of control are obfuscated by a complicit media so as not to alarm those they see as useful idiots, managers, small holders, clerks, mechanics, soldiers, & serfs who eat too much, have too many babies, and live too long. Wake up! It is a small group; if you think you are inside their wealthy or anointed “in-crowd,” guess again.

Important information. This entire sustainability movement is all about control, elimination of property rights and national sovereignty, and based entirely on an invalidated assumption that the earth faces a climate crisis because a bunch of computer models programmed to demonstrate that carbon dioxide is the problem, even at levels that are currently low (albeit slowly rising) and triggering dangerous global temperature rise and climate change. As both a geologist and an environmental engineer with well over 40 years of work and research behind me, I know that CO2 levels have been much higher at several points in the geologic past (without any indications of tripping points or other adverse consequences), that the earth is in an interglacial period where temperatures will naturally rise before decreasing again, and that 95% of the earth's CO2 is tied up in the oceans, more of which comes out of solution as temperature of the water increases. Thus the entire premise of the media and IPCC assumptions on the source of this non-problem is faulty because temperature rises come well before CO2 increases occur. The political and economic agendas behind the sustainability movement are the real objectives for the Marxist originators and supporters pushing a totally false environmental crisis. We have an ethical and moral obligation to minimize adverse impacts on the earth we inhabit. But those pushing an agenda to deindustrialize and reduce energy consumption to levels last seen prior to the U.S. Civil War have an obligation to concern themselves with the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of others--and especially in underdeveloped and developing countries that will only be lifted out of poverty and ignorance through increased availability and abundance of fossil, hydro, and nuclear power. Solar and wind power is inefficient, intermittent, technically not dispatchable (not available on demand or economically stored to meet peak demands), and very destructive on the environment--huge footprint requiring massive land and habitat clearing to replicate the power output of a fossil fuel power plant.

This book certainly changed my view about what sustainable living really means. While sustainable living sounds like a good idea, it's all the extras that come along with it, like the unelected officials who make the rules to suit their agendas while stripping away our freedoms to gradually implement Agenda 21 and the One World Order. While the book is excellent - I would buy it again - the reason for only 4 stars is that there are more than a few grammatical and typographical errors that were distracting when I read it. However, the information is certainly top notch and was a real eye opener for me.

Tom's book explains how our government is giving up our resources and private property to the United Nations and their Agenda 2030/2050 plan. It spells our the acronyms used and how to determine if these NGO's are active in your community. These folks are against individual rights and all for the collective. This book explains it all in concise, to the point terms.

This book outlines the assault on America from the standpoint of the UN and their lackeys on the left. Its very detailed and documented and is eye-opening. One of the things that struck me was hearing the names of local initiatives and programs and then seeing their origins in this book. It's an important book if you care about the lefts insidious attacks and plans. I gave it four stars only because I thought, in the end, it offered few concrete solutions.

If you've ever had that feeling that something isn't right with our society and government this book is very telling with regards to the insidious NGO interlopers that abound and are responsible for the shape we are in today. Very revealing.

Everyone should read this book. Very good information!

Tom does a excellent job of exposing the corruption.
